It’s Raining Falafel
Happy 82nd Birthday to the original little ball of hate, Earl Weaver.
In addition to this legendary piece of profanity laced umpire abuse:
He was the first Major League Skipper to worry about matchups. Before computers, he had tons of notebooks with stats on every player in the bigs and how they fared against certain pitchers, or in certain ball parks. He always had the right guy at bat at the critical time. He employed a team of researchers who would get him answers at any time.
A true legend.
