Were you old enough to see it in the Theatres? (not the release)

I remember seeing it live at the Stanley Theatre on Granville. Where did you see it?

Drive-in theatre. Probably the Hill-Crest in Cloverdale.
there was another one in the valley at that time, but I don't remember where it was.

shit, that makes me feel old.

I saw it in the theater. It was really crowded and my brother, father, and I sat apart as there were no seats together. I think the theater was called The Hillendale.

I saw most of the movies I did as a kid at The Strand, the theater used in a few scenes of Diner. It was just a few blocks away from me.

I was born about a year later.

Best Star Wars movie hands down. Fuck the Ewoks.

Yeah, toss-up between Star Wars (IV) and Empire Strikes Back (V) for me. Who could forget this classic scene?

I don't know why, but I have never seen a Star Wars movie or any regurgitated version thereof.

I watched my nephews play a video game version of one of them over Christmas one year.....does that count?

I saw it at the Sewickley Theater on Beaver Street. I was almost 13 years old. I miss that theater, spent a lot of time in there as a kid.

As for the movie series, i lost interest after The Empire Strikes Back.

I actually have almost a complete set of the Star wars action figures all in their original packages! Any one want to make me an Offer? J/K. I was offered $5000 for them once. I will let my kids be the deciding factor in what happens to them. They will be theirs sometime!:D

How old were you when you got them, and if you were a kid, what kind of kid leaves toys in their packaging?

I had the Death Star and probably 10 figures, and I played with them for a year. The light sabre that would slide out of Lukes arm, knees that didnt bend....fun stuff

I was born just a few months after the first 1 was out but didn't see any of them until after the release of ROTJ. Unfortunately for me by the time I got around to seeing any of the movies, the big twist of Vader being Luke's father had long since been spoiled for me. Kids my age had yet to learn that type of movie etiquette.

Also while we're at it. It is also the 30th anniversary of Pac Man.
