The key for the O's winning is knocking out Darvish quick. If he goes deep into the game it could equal trouble for us.

I wouldn't expect that. Darvish is a horse. I wouldn't expect him to give up more than 3 runs. The issue is with our offense. Our pitiful pitiful offense.

He is 4-0 on the season in 4 starts with a 2.11 ERA. He has pitched 38.1 innings, giving up 23 hits, 9 runs, 4 runs, 18 walks and 46 strikeouts.
Opposing batters have a 1.74 BA against him. If he gets the start, he will only go to the 5th or 6th and then we will leave it to the bullpen.

Looked him up at Fangraphs and on mlb.com decent stuff and deception not overpowering stuff but not bad at all. although hes outperformed his advanced stats.

Our pitching corps has been a wild and crazy ride all year, Hambombs. Everyone's performed capably at times the last couple of years, and horrible at others. Sometimes it feels like we have 9 or 10 starters. Names like Zach Britton, Jake Arrieta, and Brian Matusz who were at the front of our pitching rotation at the beginning of the year are now either not starting or have found another niche. Steve's performed pretty well in his limited opportunities so I feel pretty confident in him.

If it weren't for the second wild card, we'd be sitting at home right now and not in the "post-season" (I use quotation marks because I don't really feel like this one and done deal really counts). I just hope that we make use of our chances and play some Oriole baseball tonight.

Well, we made it guys! The REAL postseason starts now. (The 1 game WC still feels like a tie-breaker regular season game to me.) Should be a raucous crowd, as I'm sure more than a handful of those hated yankee supporters are making the trip down I-95 to catch the first two games.

Joe got into some trouble on a few occasions, but he managed to dig down deep and pitch out of them. I felt for sure that Texas was going to blow it open in the 4th.

They gonna pay out the ass for those tickets too, which is a nice change from their normal of just picking up whatever seat they wanted for next to nothing.
