#3/#2 Oregon (8-0) vs #5/#6 Stanford (7-1) AND #6/#5 Baylor (7-0) vs #10/#12 Oklahoma (7-1)? :omg: (Rankings are BCS/AP.)

Undefeated offensive juggernauts facing tests vs highly-ranked teams? Rarely get a double-header something like this for Thursday. We should have more Thursdays as interesting like this!

Also, it's interesting how similar the matchups are.

The Bears and Ducks lead the country in scoring offense, averaging, respectively, 63.9 and 55.6 points per game, and run 79.3 and 78.1 offensive plays per game. The Sooners and Cardinal are both ranked in the top 20 in scoring defense.

Also, similar color schemes! The Oregon and Baylor colors are green and gold/yellow. And the Oklahoma and Stanford colors are crimson/cardinal and white.

Baylor should handle their business at home

Stanford has been playing Oregon tough lately but the Quacks should be able to put up more than enough offense to win. I am more interested in finding out if Oregon has a shutdown defense.

Difference is, Baylor will have 40 on the board by halftime. Oregon, not so much.

For a college student, yes. For the avg. working American who has to get up ealry, no.

Having 4 top 10 teams play with the kickoffs being an hour and a half apart isn't cool. The early game will give updates about the later games first half before it's over, so no sense in recording the later game.

Gonna be fun when Baylor has 17 points in the third quarter.

The interest to me is indeed seeing if any defense can slow down either of these teams prolific offenses. If I was the DC of OU/Stanford, what the hell would I do to accomplish this?

Stanford needs to play physical and disciplined up front. Take away the run and make Oregon one dimensional.

Oklahoma needs to bring the heat and cause turnovers.

Whether they can do that? We shall see.
