Titans signed LB Brian Orakpo to a four-year, $27 million contract.
The deal includes an extra $3 million in incentives with $10.5 million guaranteed. It's the best move Tennessee has made this offseason after signing spare part wide receiver Harry Douglas and curiously sitting out the DeMarco Murray sweepstakes. Orakpo couldn't have expected a better deal than this coming off an injury-riddled 2014 campaign. Orakpo was supposed to visit with Arizona but he never left Tennessee. Even after addressing their linebacker need, the Titans are still hoping to re-sign Derrick Morgan.
To the Titans anyway.....to Us...the team that paid 11 Mil for .5 sack in 7 games....it mattered!!!! Now if Cerratto was here, he would have signed him for 9 Mil before free agency!!!
When his career is over I'd love to see the won/loss totals in the games Rak has played in. Don't forget he was injured, again, when we made that run in 2012. I don't hate the guy, he is a good guy, but good lord his winning percentage will be off the charts low.
That sounds about right. Pass rushers get paid and even though he wasn't a great pass rusher he was still a good one, best we've seen here other than Kerrigan since Charles Mann and that was a long time ago.
Well thanks to Orakpo for his time with the Skins. I hope that he enjoys the money since playing for the Titans is one step short of being in the CFL. I don't live too far from Nashville & nobody gives a crap about that team.
I wish him all the best. Rak was a good guy and I wish he could have lived up to expectations for us. Sort of a given we wouldn't be close to a contract like he's getting from the Titans. Good for him.
I have absolutely nothing bad to say about Orakpo. I will always be a fan. In 2009, I wanted him to be a Redskin and he did. I really believed Rak could've been an elite pass-rusher, but he just refused to use counter moves, swims, spins, etc. Not to mention, he was having some issues with his pectoral. I honestly think the Titans overpaid for him. However, if he stays healthy, he should give them a pass-rusher that they haven't had, since Kyle Vanden Bosch. Now, it's time to see what Trent Murphy can do, now. I am very optimistic about that.
i have nothing bad to say about him either . he was a class act , model citizen , and even when leaving he thanked the team and fans
he made 3 PBs like it or not denegrate it or not . it didnt work out last season but he signed his tender right away and showed up and wasnt a distraction
some of you are real jerks . he was a good guy to us
Good riddance.
Finally getting rid of Cerrato's crap...
You know the one where you just have to keep wiping?
That's what I think of Cerrato's influence on this team.
