@Pittsburgh with no Roethlisberger and they still had to blow the game twice to lose.

I didn't see you on here when NE beat Pitt by 7 without Pitts #1 weapon in Leveon Bell?

That offense does nothing with Bell off the field.

They put up 38 on San Francisco and their backup running back had 3 touchdowns that game. Williams also put up 127 yards on New England. Bell may be one of their best offensive weapons but that doesn't take away from the fact that each game Bell was out Pittsburgh ran the ball very well.

Ravens blew Pitt off the field in the playoffs without Bell but with Ben R.

Wins game in OT with Bell playing w/o Ben R.

The Pitt offense begins with the running game.

That was a different Ravens team, which had Ngata and Suggs.

Without those two, I don't see the Ravens competing for AFC N or the playoffs this year. Also, Steve Smith Sr is out for god knows how long.

Ravens are done. When they play the Steelers in week 16, with Ben and Pouncey it will be a blow out.

Oh yes. Of course. You do know that Steve smith will be long back by then as well as Gilmore at TE and Pitta and Perriman as well which are currently injured...

Keep your spirits high maybe the Steeers will be relevant still when they play in December. But then again maybe not.

None of these teams will sniff the playoffs. I doubt any of them even end the season with a .500 record.
Wouldn't go that far. I think 2 or 3 finish .500 and 1-2 make the playoffs.

Not sure I would count on Perriman being back this year. Leg injuries for a WR are never easy to overcome. When you throw in good chance he still is away for another few weeks because of the injury taking us to about midseason then it taking at least another 4-5 weeks before he is in football shape pretty much the entire season is gone and that is if he returns in the next few weeks to start practicing.

Perrimans injury is a sprain to an MCL... Harbaugh already said his is the longest in history and they scoped it last week and zero damage. He will be back what hat means who knows but he is instant speed...

Gilmore Pitta Taliferron Steve smith all coming back... Gilmore and Canty are back this week... Which is huge for Flacco.

Not only that, the guy has a lot of issues to workout as well. Something that the injury will have robbed him of: time to work on his weaknesses. He was one of the worst pass-catchers in college. His drop rate was abysmal, and his route running was also very poor. Being at UCF, I did get to see a few games being a U of Cincinnati fan and following the AAC. The guy has speed, which you can't teach; however, you could bet once or twice a game he'll be wide open and simply drop the ball. He's really more of a project speed guy that a guy you would count on right away to come in and perform, but that's just my opinion.

Pitta also, has been rumored to be out the full season despite being on the PUP. Not sure he's a guy I would be counting on as well, not only to return, but to return in a capacity that would be meaningful.

They just lost to Chicago...Let me say that again Chicago who just did a fire sale of their players and were looking like a team trying to get the 1st pick in the draft. That is not a quality game or a quality team at this point. Now watch me say that and the broncos go and lose to them but right now Oakland just isn't there. They have some decent players and will be competitive in most games but I think 7 wins is about their peak.

Right now Seattle and Philly are the only two I give a shot at making the playoffs. Philly just because of the division they are in they are still in it. Really any of those 4 teams would not surprise me to make it to the playoffs. Seattle just the talent alone should give them a really good shot at the playoffs. Throw in right now that if they win tonight they are in a tie for that final playoff spot in the NFC. I like their chances over the other teams.

Chicago is better than their record indicates. Their first 3 opponents are 3 of the best teams in the league, with Jimmy Clausen starting one of those.

I think the Bears will play hard behind John Fox and win a few that no one expects.

These are my thoughts as well. There is more to Perriman than just injury. When you throw in the loss of practice time with Flacco which is a huge part of the deep throw and having that timing down. He has missed much more than just 4 games as he missed what all but 1 practice during training camp. When you throw in this type of injury does take away some of his speed until he can build up trust and strength back up in that leg. I just see this as a lost season for him.

I think they do stand a chance but again this is more a showing of the fact that Oakland just isn't quite ready to be considered one of the big dogs in the league. They are a young team that is still learning to win those close ones.

The Chiefs defense struggling so much after a fantastic 2014 campaign is very puzzling. I suspect a scheme issue of some kind (along with Poe clearly not being 100%) which is very concerning- even moreso than a OL on pace to allow 76 sacks.

Perriman had a 14% drop rate at he combine....
His college career He would be at an average of 20 yards per catch in both his sophomore and junior seasons. While he was without Bortles, who went to the NFL last year, Perriman became the first receiver in school history with 1,000 yards since 2006 as a junior. He’s clearly a big play threat with good size at 6-2 and 212 pounds.

Combine/Pro Day results:

40-yard dash: 4.24 and 4.27 seconds

Bench press (225 pounds): 18 reps

Vertical: 36 ½ inches

Broad jump: 10 feet, 7 inches

Perriman had the most talked about pro day this year. His name blew up last month due to a reported 4.24 and 4.27 40-yard dash times. That would’ve tied running back Chris Johnson’s 4.24 as the fastest combine 40-yard dash time. Speed kills, guys.

He will have to be accounted for in Baltimore's offense as speed. What he does from there is anyone guess?

I don't think either of us are saying he doesn't have to be accounted for whenever he does return. The issue being when he will return and what type of shape/readiness will he be in is more the issue. When you throw in especially on those deep passes it is about timing and right now I can guarantee Flacco and Perriman just don't have it. Manning has talked in the past that it takes at least a year to build up that type of timing with WR's. So with all that has happened that limits the true impact a guy like Perriman can make on this season if he actually returns. His speed has never been questioned (although I do wonder without having ran for the most part for the better part of 3 months how long it will take to get him back up to full speed).
