One thing I have noticed

Every single time we go into a half or end of game situation and we're ahead, the refs give the other team 5 minutes of stoppage time.

Every. Single. Time.

I don't think it is some conspiracy though. You have to think about all the things that happened in the 2nd half so 4-5 minutes was the right call.

There were 2 goals, several substitutions, and a few injuries.

And in the first half against Ghana where we were up 1-0.....5 minutes!

And in the 2nd half against Ghana where we were up 2-1.....5 minutes.

The first half where we were down against Portugal? NOT 5 minutes.

I'm not sure why 5 minutes was giving in the 2nd half of the Ghana game but 5 minutes in the first half seems about right because we had the goal and also the 2 stoppage in play due to the injuries to Dempsey and Jozy in addition to other traditional stoppages for fouls, free kicks, goal kicks, corners, and etc.

But in the first half against Portugal, they gave 2 minutes and there was a Portugese player down for at least 3 holding his ever precious beard bc it got hurt. And that's not counting anything else that happened in the 1st. I was livid to see them only give 2 then and 5 at the end of the 2nd half.

Portugal was winning.

There was NO reason for 5 minutes to be added to the end of the Ghana game either. I have only missed like 3 games this whole WC, and in any other game, thats 3 in max of extra time.
