Georgia and LSU have to overcome QB changes and that could cause issues especially for Georgia because Murray is/was the heart of that team and a great competitor.

I see Missouri struggling with OSU don't like the old Big 12 angle lots of pressure for them in this one.

Nebraska is without it's QB as well.

Play against themselves, against CHokelahoma, against Chokehio State, against Texas w/o McCoy and still nearly lose... get 2-loss teams put in NCG, get 1-loss teams placed ahead of all others, play each other in rematches in NCG...

Nice win over Oregon, Auburn, though...

Dude...

Anytime you bring "still nearly lost" into an argument...

Georgia Tech can beat Ole Miss

Duke can hang with A&M (should be a high-scoring affair)

Wisconsin can beat Carolina

Iowa can hang with LSU (should be a low-scoring affair)

OK State can beat Missouri

Houston can beat Vanderbilt

and obviously Florida State can (and probably should) beat Auburn

5-5 is very likely, and something like 4-6 or 3-7 is not out of the question. Depends on who wants to show up for each game.

Not to beat a dead horse....
But what makes you think Alabama had that game regardless???

Which team can lose its 2 time Heisman finalist, leading rusher, and leading passer who is the winningest player in school and NCAA history at the time? And not impact the game...

It would be like saying Tim Tebow or Cam Newton did not really matter to the outcome in 2008 and 2010.

If Cam or Tebow went down, team SEC would be screaming from the mountaintops about (*) asterisks had Oklahoma or Oregon won those close games.

Which may be a blessing

His redshirt freshman replacement has made just as many mistakes.

The other QB is a Senior walk-on.

My bad, I dont follow other teams as much and mis-quoted. Thanks for the reminder.:suds:

LSU still beat a better team was the point though.

yup, no argument here, tOSU really shouldn't have been in the game and wouldn't have been had not every freaking team and their mother choked the final week of the season... Looking at you USC and WVU...

The same 'healthy' McCoy who beat a 4 loss Nebraska by 1 point with 1 second on the clock in the Big XII CCG?

Teams game plan based on certain players, they watch game film and learn tendencies and watch for signals and looks from QB's as to which plays may be coming or who he may be targeting. All of the criteria they based their game plan on was McCoy and they knew him well. they knew jack about Gilbert Grape, so when he came in, he was the wildcard that they had not planned for due to very little game film on his style of play.
The defense had to adjust and they did it about as well as they could not knowing this guy and his tendencies.

And you're right, it would be beating a dead horse, this one argument has been done to death in the annals of SEC versus ? BCS title games. This is Macks "one that got away" story for his retirement years.

I'd say so,

15-40, 186 yds, 4.7 yd. avg., 2 tds, 4 ints.

Yikes...not sure Jesus favors one team against another. That said, we shall see how well "team SEC" does. If "team SEC" goes 6-3 or better, then a statement is made. If Team SEC goes 3-6 or worse, then we can come to a different conclusion.

If Duke couldn't stop Winston's Florida St team what makes you think they can stop Johnny's A&M team?

He put that it should be a high scoring affair. It's not a matter of stopping him, it's a matter of outscoring him. And Florida State is probably a little better than AM.

There are 10 SEC bowl games.

No one said they had to stop them. They just have keep scoring with them and given A&M's defense, it could happen.

Thanks, I missed one. Point still; if "team SEC" goes 7-3 or better, that would be quite a statement...agreed????? Same goes for a 3-7 performance. Anything in the middle is up for interpretation, IMO.

That what Samurai said is pretty much what I meant. Dukle and A&M are similar: high-scoring offenses, not as good on defense. I don't think Duke will win, but it's more possible than them beating FSU ever was.
