I read about the Oil Bowl game when Jack Mildren was going wild and went down with a slight injury. A drunk Oklahoma fan shouted "Don't hurt him, Goddamn it! Next year he's ours!".

Yeah Mildren has records yet to be broken in that game.

On a side note Oklahoma has 2 of the top 10 boys baketball teams in the Country. Mustang is #2 and PC West is #3. Mustang has beaten Desoto, Tx and Dallas Kimball.

Im applying this thread to 6A boys basketball now. Mustang is 29-0 and #1 in the Country. They beat Broken Arrow 76-45 to advance to the Semi's. I believe PC West is also undefeated and #3 in the Country and they beat Owasso 67-57 to advance to Semi's. Edmond Memorial beat Union 51-56 and Edmond Santa Fe beat Jenks 68-47.

So that sets up PC West vs Santa Fe and Mustang vs Memorial in Tulsa. Funny how Tulsa dominates in football and OKC dominates in basketball.
