O-line

or DB??

Im thinking O-line with not only the 1st rounder, but the 2nd round pick as well. While I dont believe the Line is really the issue, I have no confidence in the front offices ability to give up on Griffin, so we will bring in more line to protect him.

IF we screw around and draft a QB, well lets not even go there.

I see the Skins taking Williams out of USC. I'd love it if you all did go QB but I highly doubt it happens.

Season isnt over. BUt whom ever wins will simply pay the Money to the charity of the winners choice. As you are still in touch with him, find out what Charity. And should I win (doubtful at this point) he can make that donation to the Orlando SPCA.

We would have to lose out and get in the top three to take WIlliams. I see Peat out of Stanford as the guy right now.

Please no. Unless you believe that this guy is the second coming of Sean Taylor they need to focus on the O-line. Select a safety a bit later & perhaps delve into the FA mkt to get some secondary help. Oh well - all of it will certainly help the team & they certainly can't get much worse than they are at the current time.

We will never pick a S in the Top 5. Not sure when the last one was (if ever???). Those picks are for QBs, OL, and Pass Rushers/DL.

Well - there have only been two in the last ten years - Eric Berry by the Chiefs in 2010 & (you should know this) Sean Taylor by the Skins in 2004. Both were taken 5th overall.

Several others have been close including Mark Barron 7th overall by the Rams a few years ago & muscle head Laron Landry by the Skins ins 2007. Like I said before don't draft a safety this high unless you think without a doubt he will be another Sean Taylor (which is highly unlikely).

Thanks for trolling (in multiple threads).

Oh lighten up.

I seriously doubt they will abandon RGIII for another year, so I would expect an offensive lineman.

Well that was my whole point. That position is hardly ever worth that pick. The position just doesn't warrant a Top 5 pick...certainly not when you have so many other problems.

barron was drafted by the bucs, not rams, and you guys would be well served to trade back, stock pile picks, for all those ones you gave away and bring in young talent........you need MANY positions not just one......so take the picks and load up.........not a knock , just my opinion

Bingo. If we have a top 5 pick, we can trade back and get a later 1st as well as a 2nd. This will give us 3 picks in the first 40 picks or so (we will also have a 2nd on our own that will be a first 5 in the 2nd). We could pick up 3 immediate starters, 2 OL and a S for example. This goes a long way to getting us healthy.

The only problem I see with this suggestion - which is made on a constant basis - is that there are not always trading partners & when there are you don't get as much in return as some would like to believe. In any case - I have no problem if they go in either direction as long as they retain the picks & stockpile talent over time.

No doubt. I assume we are all talking theory here anyway. But if we have a top 5 pick, there is usually someone that wants it as there are too many teams that foolishly believe they are one piece away from glory.
