Been hearing this rumor for a while. Guess its official now. TE is not an area of concern, fortunately, provided everyone stays healthy.

Well they also have some big WR's that could move over in a pinch.

Usually when there is smoke the fire is burning somewhere. I guess we know one guy that's leaving opening up more spots in this class. Luatua has been a solid player but if not having him means getting a kid like Roberston, Kelly, Davis or McCulloch then I'll take that trade because I don't see Luatua becoming much more than he is for the Irish.

I hate to see kids leave early. I think he probably saw the writing on the wall with Durham Smythe coming back from injury and Alize Jones looking like a star in the making. I wish him well at BYU.

Not to mention two top TE's including the Nations best on some sites in next years class.

Here we go. Another season of players leaving. We lose a 4 star TE. To be honest no big deal. He would never really play. He was used only for blocking and he saw that Jones jumped him. No big loss here.

Opens up a spot for this up coming class.

I don't think I have been this excited for National Signing Day. It will finally be here next week

Just hoping the class holds, even if we miss on our remaining targets. Its disappointing to lose out on battles, its even more disappointing to lose out on guys already committed.

Me to. Word is ND is going to have a strong day. So strong they will end up in the Top 3 in some rankings and Top 5 in others.

Another name being floated around is Brent. Top WR recruit turned into RB.

Seems a waste for him to transfer. He has one more year in the system and just lost his RS year sitting out last season. If he was going to transfer, it should have been before the season. Seems to me if my math is correct he'll have to sit out (unless he goes to an FCS program), he'll maybe get two years somewhere else, and after waiting a whole other year, when he can get 3 years here now. FWIW, coaches have been impressed with his progress at the position, although he'll still probably only be #4 on the depth chart. Folston/Adams/D. Williams solidly ahead of him.

I think he has a chance to pass Williams. I wasnt too impressed with Williams. Also we have another Nice RB coming in this class.

If he leaves he will have 2 years left. I dont think its a Big loss.

I think the staff must like him enough to give him a shot at RB, because there was a big log jam at WR and still is for the most part. They recognize his talent. I think Brent's problems are between the ears though.

I think I listened to a podcast about Brent being one of the best athletes on the team and the coaches had to find a way for him to get on the field either offensive or defensive.

Apparently Tyler Luatua is now NOT transferring. Good for depth, but don't know if he's in good graces with the coaches.
