Anything and everything related to the farm, post here.

Cord Sandberg is hitting .395/.435/.628 in 10 games at low A ball. Drafted in the third round last year. He is an outfielder. Still has a ways to go, but that's a great start. Also, Nola's first appearance in Clearwater is coming tonight. Stay posted for results.

I hope you don't have a girlfriend you're trying to impress. "Getting her attention" won't help anything

Also an earlier solo homer for Lavin. Great night for him. The product of a broken home, his mother got the week off from her boss Mel and flew in from Reading to see the game. As a bonus, she brought her slutty friend, Flo.

Yes, there is a thin line between "impressing" and not being allowed to come within 500 feet of her

Biddle just walked the first two batters in the bottom of the first. Beautiful. I thought he could be our number 3 until Nola was ready

now he's given up 6 runs in the first. They are still batting with 2 outs.

I was just about to post that but go ahead and have my limelight. I'm excited to see how Nola does tonight. He's not starting right?

Nola pulled after 2 and 1/3 innings. He walked 3 and got shelled. Phillies seek refund.

James Franco is 0-3 with a strikeout tonight. Perkins is 1-3. Fox is 3-4 and Alonso just hit a line drive RBI double to right field.

Fox now hitting .351/.375/.676 in 9 games for Reading. This wouldn't mean a whole ton, but in Mexico he hit .307/.397/.605 in 57 games (so a larger sample size). He's 31, and that's old as hell, but he can play first base and the outfield. Really, is Tony Gwynn any better than this guy?

For an outfielder/1b 31 isn't that old really. Many guys have their best offensive seasons when they are that age. 31 is old as hell to be signing any kind of long term deal, but that's not what I rhad in mind for him. I just think that since they do have him, that if they do somehow find themselves in the race later on they would give him a shot before they even thought of bringing in some other "veteran bat". I don't expect him to set the world on fire but he could maybe be a Matt Stairs kind of guy and get a big hit every now and then or come in on a Sunday afternoon for Howard and hit a couple bombs or something. He'd also come in handy if they were playing an AL team against a RH starter. He has good power numbers against righties so you could put him at first, let Howard DH and save Mayberry for later.

I mentioned his age just because this is a Minor League thread, and I didn't want anyone under the impression that he is some sort of prospect. He's not some franchise player obviously, but he could be an asset to this club.

franco and biddle were the phils #1 & #2 prospects prior to this season. If their horrible season continues, they will fall out of the top 10. Seriously, Franco needs a demotion right now back to Reading, so just maybe he can get going again.
