Sounds like they're talking 6 years $140MM for Trout. Seems like a pretty good deal for the Angels, relatively speaking.

Just looked at box score..... 9th inning cool.... Only one more worthless baseball game left. Hopefully no injuries have occurred.

The Angels have officially announced agreement on a long-term extension with star outfielder Mike Trout. The deal covers six years and is worth $144.5MM. Trout receives a full no-trade clause

Is Gimenez going to AAA? I am not seeing much there to replace JPA or Chirinos unless I am missing something.[/QUOTE

Gimenez has to be on the 25man ... out of options ... Rule 5 acquisition.

Suspect he'll be on the 25man until he craps out and Cherinos replaces him or Soto returns.

I don't get that at all unless the Rangers really don't like Chirinos.

That's a steal.

Call me crazy, but could choice be our Trout? I'm getting really excited about this kid.

I'm sure JD would also like to see MM's value go up. I am very interested to see who gets to DH on opening day with the lefty on the mound for the Phillies.

Having Moreland bat against Lee probably wouldn't be the way to do that.

Nope. That's why I can't wait to see the line-up come out. If I had to guess I would say it will be MM just because he was kind of tabbed the DH. I have long been a MM supporter and really like him, but I just don't see the consistency from him. He might end up being a Chris Davis, where he just can't get just it done here. There's so many things to like about Choice. Choice has a great eye at the plate, and drives the ball to all fields. I really can see him being our 2 hole hitter in the future.

Choice better be either CF or DH on OD or some butt kicking needs to happen.
