Strange timing, but was very overdue. Many have said he kept his job this long because of who his sister is and I believe it true. Looks like that even ran it's course now that Obama only has a few more years in office.

Losing records most of the time. Mediocre performance vs. the PAC most of the time.

The only post season play the Beavs had with him was two CBI bids.

I agree. Actually he never really was close to qualified for a job in a major conference. That is the problem here.

It was publicity grab more than anything. That surprised me as it seemed very out of character for OSU to do so.

I played in that little Lahaina gymnasium when I was in Hi School. They have a tourney right after Christmas called the Maui Classic Invitational.

Our team and 7 others played in a lil Christmas break tourney. Awesome experience for a HS SR and all of his friends. Getting out of Oregon for 10 days and wind up on Maui. Awesome stuff. 1992 was the year.
