NORMAN, Okla. — OU redshirt freshman running back Joe Mixon is on crutches after having a misstep running stadium steps today and injuring his knee.
However, don't be alarmed because nothing is seriously wrong and it is just considered a sprained knee or bone bruise at this time.
Mixon will miss a few days, but will be back at training camp soon.
Up to this point he has been outstanding at camp and had been having a great summer. He has looked like a million bucks and has been a great team member, doing everything that a good team member should since returning from his season-long suspension a year ago after an altercation outside Pickelman's last summer.
Great expectations are expected for Mixon this season.
