Nebraska has more penalty yards (148) than rushing yards (84) in it's last 2 games.

Like I said before... It depends. Whether the team spends this week motivated to get better after their first win in a month, or they spend it celebrating with parties and babes.

I personally don't see the team that beat Purdue by 1 point with 14 seconds to play, beating a Fitz team coming off of 3 good wins.

bet Northwestern and take the points is the smart bet. Smart nebraska betting fans should just stay away from this one.

Fitzgerald is a better coach than Mike Riley.

Like I said earlier, which offensive line turns out to play football is the key. Hopefully, Northwestern's will just be offensive and not an offensive line.

Nebraska has better skill players, but which team has more playmakers? JD Spielman is our best playmaker. Tyron Lindsey has not done anything. Morgan can do stuff, but then you scratch your head at times. Pierson-El just has not found what he had his freshman season. Will Nebraska try to get Bradley on the edge? I doubt nebraska can do much against Paddy Fisher and the Northwestern rush defense between the tackles.

Northwestern has Justin Jackson who has not done much this year because of the bad o line.
102. Northwestern rush offense 127.8 ypg
106. Nebraska rush offense 121.9 ypg

Right now, I see the game as 50-50.

Bradley will be limited, sprained ankle against purdue. I wouldn't expect to much out of him. Riley was hopeful he could play.
The way I see it with the injuries, we're at about a 30% chance of winning, if that.

They both have fair passing offenses. Northwestern's pass defense is pretty bad. Nebraska's isn't great.

I don't see us winning this 'un.

We won't be able to run. Tanner's gonna have to throw for 400+ again and hope it's enough.

I must have had a bad night. My feeling o meter feels Nebraska is going to lose.

The Bookie decommit puts the coaches in a funk. Wait, that could be a good thing.

Back to 50-50.

I just read up on Northwestern, they are relying on their defense to win games. A good pass rush really hurts Northwestern, uh oh. Nebraska and pass rushing do not go together.

Northwestern coming off two OT games. and it's november, so they have to be beat up from those games. if TL can get protection early, i think good things can happen in the passing game. as mentioned, our running game doesn't have much chance unless we can open some things up with the pass and then hit some runs when they least expect it.

D - i feel like our D is currently made for mediocre offenses - they are just good enough to stop them. the lack of pass rush is concerning and Diaco really needs to blitz way more, so kinda just depends what sort of game plan they go with. they need to take away the QB run too, which is what will probably end up hurting us the most.

i think it will be close, but i do feel like NW will win.

Do we have the softest team in the country? Or does every team in the country have numerous injuries after every.single.game?

I mean I know that injuries happen, but it seems like a stiff breeze would put half of our team on the injured list.

Severe has been tweeting a few of these. Some high quality O-line schemes and technique

In this one, it looks like Cav told Hoppes to block Jaimes rather than an actual Purdue defender. Nice work, Cav

Since Nebraska cannot run
Passing yards Allowed

119. Northwestern 270.8 ypg
23. Minnesota 184 ypg
25. Penn State 187.6 ypg
69. Iowa 223.4 ypg

Passing yards allowed of past opponents wins

27. Illinois 190.8
60. Rutgers 213.9
64. Arkansas State 217.0
74. Purdue 229.5

Passing yards allowed of past opponents losses

15. Wisconsin 174.3
33. Ohio State 195.3
41. Northern illinois 201.0
98. Oregon 253.7

I have more hope now because Northwestern pass defense is porous. The Nebraska receivers should have a good day.

I am now up to Nebraska 60% to win, Northwestern 40% to win.

in the 1st one, that's just bad. I'm not an o-line coach, but my guess is when the DT goes across Conrad's face i think Farniok is supposed to take him, Conrad is then supposed to get the first blitzer, and Foster takes the 2nd. Jameis takes the LB, Hoppes makes a horrible block on the DE. Each guy does his job properly, it just leaves the 1 OLB to try and stop our RB, which hopefully could pick a hole that causes that guy to need to fight through traffic. instead, Farniok doesn't touch the DT and Conrad gets lost trying to block 2 guys.

2nd, :pound: type shit from Hoppes there. gotta protect your QB. even if he makes that block, what is Ozigbo doing? he makes a horribly weak attempt to block a guy coming right at him. Foster gets thrown like a rag doll and loses position too.

but in all of it, how much can you blame on Cav? as i said, I'm not an o-line coach and i can see how it should have worked, so seeing as Cav is an O-line coach, i'd assume he has taught these guys better than this.
