No Prime Time Games in 2013

This fucking sucks. I realize we shit the bed last year but some of the games that they are showing are just ridiculous.

Case in point:

9 PM – Western Michigan at Northwestern

That does suck, Kinnick usually seems like a rowdy crowd. However, that article says Iowa is the only team without a primetime BTN game, but I don't see Michigan or Ohio State on that schedule either. Did I miss something?

right, this is BTN only prime time, Iowa is not on, but could be on ESPN maybe, I doubt it though...UM and OSU will be on prime time somewhere

Northwestern is actually picked to win the division by some, dogfight with Huskers...we shall see, I hate NW and Pat Fitzgerald, which is something I do not often say, but I can't stand the guy nor the team.

That's OK by me. Just so the games are televised. I live far away from the great state of Iowa and have been lucky to catch 95% of the games on TV the past few years.

I'm also OK with flying under the radar. I'm not buying into all the doom and gloom of the upcoming season. I'm not quite sure why, but I actually have a good feeling that things are going to be good for the Hawks this season. I think KF is gonna let his Coordinators have some rope this year and it'll make things exciting.

I'm pumped for some FB. Sorry, but summer sports ain't doin it for me this year. Nuggs shit the bed, Avs sucked the big one again and the Rockies are too inconsistent.

That stinks!! Iowa can't finish last in the division. Minnesota needs that distinction.

CBS ran a story about Barta trying to keep future FCS opponents on the schedule: UNI in 2014 and 2018; Illinois St in 2015; and North Dakota in 2016. That can't help Iowa's SOS for the playoff system on the horizon. Barta's argument is that North Dakota is a "comparable" opponent (inferring to FBS opponents) since North Dakota has won their championship recently. yikes!!!

But honestly we don't have any games that are gonna be worth primetime.

They chose Notre Dame vs Purdue for primetime over Nebraska UCLA though. That was a bit puzzling.

We had 6 primetime games scheduled by abc the first two years in the B1G and this year we have none. A weak schedule is not all it's cracked up to be.

it should be, but I am not sold that UM would get to 8-0 while it is a much larger possibility for you guys...they would go ESPN most likely or 2...ND Purdue primetime is a laugher
