Martinez doesn’t have a derby swing anyway. his homers seem to rely on exit velocity more than launch angle. I think Mookie would outperform him if they participated.

Really, a guy like him is not in the HR derby for himself, it is to show that he is an elite HR hitter... and when you are a player who will never be able to hit .250 BA, you need to prove that you are as elite as there is at HR...
