Didn't seem right to me that the Dodgers have a Game Thread up on their board while the team I'll be rooting for tonight didn't. So while this isn't my usual forum I'll start one.

Not sure I understand why your calling LA the "doyers" unless it's a typing error.

I call LA teams all "Smogtowners" myself.

And Mattingly's old team the "Sinstripes."

For a Red Sox fan like myself an ex-Sinstripe manager is one more is one more reason to root against LA.

Thanks for starting the thread and keeping the conversation going! I didn't have time to post here with a party tonight and a stupid wedding to attend tomorrow- but none of that could take me away from my Cardinals! What a Game 1- it was the exactly the type of gritty, intense game that I expected between these two teams. The win only made me feel better about the Cardinals' chances, but I am really impressed with this Dodgers team as well. This is going to be one hell of a series!

MCarp is usually referred to as Matty Carp or something like that because he hasn't earned the Carpenter name to refer to him first, Carpenter still means Darth Carp(Chris) to us.

That being said, Jesus was a carpenter.

The NEW Mr. October came through again....Carlos Beltran. I remember him hitting homer after homer against STL when he was in the play-offs with Houston. Man, I hated him then. Love him now.

The guy who had a not so good game, Jon Jay, I hope he has a short memory and can put that game behind him.

22 yr old Michael Wacha today vs Kershaw. STL is 5-2 vs Kershaw since 2011.
