That was not the best of games, but the result was good. Miller is tremendous.

The calls the whole game were pathetic. But I guess that's what happens when you get Nolan behind the bench and LaFontaine back in the fold. A return to old time Sabres hockey. "Something touched me around the waist - better drop like a bag of jello!". And that's the shit that gets called.

Ott with at least four elbows to heads - nothing.

BTW, Jody Shelley and Rob Ray shared the ice level box the whole game. The Jackets announcer kept trying to goad Shelley into starting something.

Shelley said "He looks too pretty in his suit and makeup".


Jody is growing on me as a TV guy.

Meh, The ref's were shitty both way's, The call on Myers (boarding?) was a bit of a joke because he only made contact with the shoulder and the player turned into it (I guess they make that call when you're coming off of a suspension). The call in the third for goalie interference was total BS because the player was run into Bob. Oh well it was consistent for both teams.

Yeah, they had some fun with Ray and Shelly on the Buffalo feed too, Shelly was indicating that Ray has gotten fat around the waist and they were laughing it off. Ray said he has a lot of respect for Shelly and said they have become friends. That's what I like about hockey, these two had some good battles but also respect each other.
