Who's your favorite team to play as?

I was a beast with the Calgary Flames. I had just started getting into hockey that year and loved playing with the Flames. Gary Suter, Al MacInnis, Steve Chiasson (if memory serves me correctly.....he might have been on Detroit.....I can't remember), and then the forwards led by Gary Roberts, Steve Nieuwendyk and Theoren Fleury were awesome.

The Sharks just weren't that capable with Fat Balloon and Dody Wood ;-)~

Never had a Sega when I was a kid. I always played NHL Hockey on the PC. Canucks (of course). Top line was Brian Bradley (gee, I wonder why!), Cliff Ronning and Pavel Bure. I never lost!

I don't remeber a NHL 92 game. There was the NHLPA 93 game and then the greatest hockey game of all time, NHL 94. On Genesis, there was also Mario Lemieux Hockey or something like that. Then the 95version sucked and so on and so forth...

If you remember the scene in Swingers when Vince Vaughn plays the hockey game and makes Gretzky bleed, that is NHLPA 93

Is that one of the reasons you became a Canucks fan? (proximity makes sense too, I suppose)
Did you follow him in the Tampa Bay years? I think he was the franchise's leading scorer until Vinnie L came along.

No, I never even knew about Brian Bradley until '95 or '96. (although it is cool sharing the same name as a pretty good player) Became a Nucks fan during the '94 run. Bure was my favorite player. Was living in Salem then, too.

All I remember about the '92 Flames is a Leeman for Gilmour trade...and the carnage that followed.

Your honor, I'd like to have this trade entered into evidence in the trial of why Doug Risebrough should never be given the keys to another NHL franchise as its GM ever again

In NHL 93, I switched my allegiances to the Maple Leafs (I think it was '93, maybe it was '94) whenever it was that Felix Potvin was in the game.

This thread is incomplete without this...

Best line... "It's not even so much me, it's Roenick... HE's good."
