The XFL had some rules that were better than the NFL and it'll be cool if/when the XFL becomes a developmental league. Which is something way overdue. A developmental league is especially needed for QB's.

Meh. I’ve always said that these middle leagues should be a sprouting and grooming ground for NFL. They have it backwards.

Play XFL games in the spring to summer. Let those bastids sweat their nuts off to maybe qualify for NFL free agency consideration.

I'm glad to see to some financial nous finally being employed by the 2 prospective minor leagues. They're shoe-string supplements to the NFL rather than direct competitors. The XFL is now an NFL experimentation league and the USFL is an East Coast regional league to cut down on costs. These are approaches the 2 previous leagues should have adopted.
