They will air four TNF games solely(weeks 7-10) and four others which will consist of Saturday and something else to be determined. What do you think those extra games will be? Something like 2013 when SD and Oakland played late Sunday night? Or a Sunday afternoon game taken away from CBS or Fox

NFL Network needs to GTFO. Thursday Night Football sucks ass and the teams rarely look fresh and play well. Leave the games alone, and let the real networks take care of it. NFL Network should be nothing more than analysis and films. Playing games on sports specific networks is bad for revenue.

It would not shock me if the NFL Network tries to have 2 games on Thursday night. I think it would be an epic fail but it seems like it potentially is heading that way

All I know is, every network needs better commentators.

They are not going to give two teams 2 TNF games because they have unfair short rest twice.

I like Thurs night football solely because it's more football. I didn't think they could do Sat with college Football at the same time, it was part of their anti-trust exemption or something, but that is obviously a better choice. Fri they lose out to high School football for the same reasoning.

Which leaves them with Thurs or Tues for prime time game times (Sunday full, Monday night done).

I'm thinking more Saturday games, possibly in December when the college season is over.

Maybe double up games. Figure Dec 5 was the last college weekend before the bowls (conf championship weekend).

That leaves 4 weeks for Saturday football. I'd still wonder about the last week. Don't want everything decided for a division on Saturday and nothing to look forward to Sunday, or giving a team an extra day of prep for the wild card weekend. Same reasons as no MNF.

So 3 weeks, 2-3 games instead of 1, I guess that would be 3-6 more games in a prime TV slot without screwing up the schedule too much.

Or just push back the entire league year a few more weeks?

It could be the early Sunday games played in London.

Well they are going 4 of those I believe. Smart, run half a season over there for a while and make sure they are still as engaged as always.

So for NFL network I guess that would be a step into more of the international market? I know Sky and BBC are showing a LOT more games/highlight shows in the UK.

Thursday football sucks balls. I have other things to do than watch football every night. Which is why the NFL gets my eye balls on Sundays and that's pretty much it.
