Oh I know, just feels gross that my favorite team could be blatantly breaking a rule. That could come back to bite them in the backside especially when it comes to Vegas relocation when the owners should unanimously vote no.It is against the labor rules, but Mariners are not the first team to use the IL to stash a player.
This is what .happens..when.im working things..playing..chess..Really think it is fake? Wouldn’t there be some serious fine or something if they manipulate the roster? I truly do hope Woo is ok and he can come back and they can the weird 6 man mashup rotation or however they are going save innings for Miller, Woo and now with Hancock.
And Colby finally gets to actually watch the pitcher he has written off as a bust, which I still don’t understand. Glass half full is Hancock has been utterly dominant in most of his games so the games that he has been rocked hopefully it is like with Miller getting clobbered cause he was working on things.
But damn Hancock look much better than a number 5. If the Mariners can get into the playoffs it will still be a loss to the Astros or Orioles. But going into next season the Mariners will officially have the best starting staff in history and top studs knocking the door.
And after the past few days the Mariners have to sign Bellinger or Tucker. From those in the know about the plethora of middle infields, all of them can play 2B and 3rd. So pray on the right deal to get a 3B. Hell Ford could be a starting 3B next year I love Gilbert but Gilbert for Reilly is a solid deal for both teams and use Ray to try Carlson or Noosbar from the Cards. Great collection of high paid, middle paid and underpaid under 30 athletes. Extend and buy out as many offensive contracts as possible
This feels like mariners..Rotation..when ray gets back..

So good .so far
The kid has some good movement on his pitches. Like what I see so far...
That change up he has is nasty... Once he learns how to hide it a bit better, it will be his knockout pitch...He stays at the bottom of the zone alot to induce ground balls
He threw around 5-6 Two-seamers last night that had insane movement run on them that easily was 12-16" of movement jamming up RH batters. But they needed to be a little higher up in the zone on a few of them. Most were knee to thigh high and rarely do those induce a swing.
His biggest flaw is his slow delivery ( high leg kick ) to the plate when in his stretch. Hopefully he can adapt to the slide step easily so it keeps base runners more at bay.
Solid 9/10 debut outing.
I would have liked to see him bust a few more up and in with his fastball. A pitcher has to go there a few times a game on 0-2 or 1-2 counts just to plant the seed in the hitters mind not to get to amped up leaning in to cover the outside of the plate. Plus nearly all teams usually have a RH hitter like Julio that finds it hard to lay off of an up and in fastball ( because their eyes 'see it' so well ) it is a very enticing pitch to see as a hitter and then a split second later you realized you are doomed.
On to edit add to my prophecy post to keep the MOJO rising !!
