Meh. The Chase essentially makes this toothless. All he has to do is win a race and he's in. Almost the same thing happened to Hamlin (though he might have already had a win prior to the penalty) and he still made it. Hell, he really doesn't even have to win. While difficult, its not impossible to climb from where he is now (low 20s) to the cutoff for non winners. Just another on a long list of reasons why the Chase is 100% pure horseshit
