sign prince and let cj walk and give the giants whatever prospects they want for cain......read something on a yankee blog that cain should be targeted giants will still have lincecum,bumgarner,sanchez,vogelsong......i would guess the only untouchables would be profar/perez....we can give the giants some bats ready to go now and some prospects

Cain has been really good, but this team needs an ace and I am not positive Cain is that caliber of pitcher. Remember he pitches in the NL in that park that is pretty much the size of the city of San Francisco. Bringing him from that into the AL and into RBIA would make me nervous.

And he's only given up 1102 hits in 1317 innings over the last three years. That's pretty salty regardless of where he's pitching.

Sounds like the same pitching environment that Mike Adams came from, huh?

1: Mike Adams has been very solid since coming here.

2: Mike Adams is only utilized to shut down one inning at a time. Cain would be expected to handle 6-7. Not really apples to apples comparison.

here's a new rumor (i know Al hates rumors but i don't care):

The Giants need to bolster their offense, so Jon Paul Morosi of FOX Sports suggests trading Tim Lincecum for multiple players is a viable option. Trading the two-time Cy Young Award winner might allow San Francisco to free up the payroll required to pursue a top free agent position player such as Prince Fielder or Jose Reyes.

The Rangers need to get in on a Cain or Lincecum trade if this is legit and overpay if necessary. Both of those guys are pitching studs. I prefer Cain. He'd probably cost less but be about as successful. In another post I just randomly threw out Cain's name. I didn't actualy SF would consider a trade, but they're like the Rays and have a surplus of top quality pitching arms.
