Wow. I even like the guy they gave you a B- on.
Guy is raw, but you don't put up number like he did in the combine and not climb up the ranks. Washington was less athletic than him and he might be a 1st round pick now. He is just as raw as well. Magic of Georgia I guess.

If he lasts to round 3 its a no brainer for us. Our biggest issue is running QBs which he excels at containing. He will hopefully get more disciplined with NFL structure.

Sanders played OLB/Edge for Saban even though it was minimal snaps, so he has that attribute going well for him already. Holmes, DC and AG all stated they wanted to make the roster faster. Sanders is that.

Washington is extremely labored when running and his blocking sled drill he performed at the combine had horrific technique. I'm surprised the guy hasn't Levi Onwuzuriked himself already.

I want nothing to do with him, I watched almost every game and was not impressed. Brock knocked him out of starting spot as a true freshman

If a team wants to run a lot of 12 personnel, then he's your guy.

Given that the Lions—specifically coach Dan Campbell—had endless praise for Cominsky during the season, it seemed like a foregone conclusion that Cominsky would be re-signed this offseason.

As of Thursday morning, that hasn’t happened yet, but Cominsky talked to Browns beat writer Zac Jackson this week and provided an update on where things stand for his impending free agency.

“I think they want me there. I want to be there. We’ll see how it all works out,” Cominsky said.

More notably, Cominsky reportedly told Jackson that he plans to test free agency out and then sign somewhere “after a few days.” Adding:

“There’s a business side to this. Maybe another team will bring some numbers and the Lions will have to see what they want to do. I hope it works out there, but I really don’t know.”

Love this pick at No.18 but the need for one of the premier CB prospects would supersede this selection in my opinion. The draft is deep with other CB, however, I'm not sure any of the rest are as ready to compete day 1.

I wouldn't be mad if they took one of the top corners. Any position other than TE or WR is on the table for me in R1. In Holmes we trust.

If Chark leaves and it sounds like they're not confident about Jameson.... WR suddenly becomes a need. Even if he's back and they're confident about Williams and just playing it up for the media, I still don't think WR is off the table.

Yes, if Chark goes elsewhere then this is probable.

JN-S is the best WR in this entire class and he could very well be the pick at No.18 if he were to last that long. I doubt that he does. I won't be mad at all should Holmes go this route.

I'm sure many fans will place TCU WR Johnston as WR1. I get Kevin White vibes with him. I'm also wrong more often than not.

At No.18, assuming Holmes drafted a DL at No.6, and if he prefers one of those top 3 CB, then he'll more than likely have to trade up into the 10-15 range to draft one.

I agree on your thoughts of no TE though.

I am hoping for Christian gonzalez from oregon. This class is deep enough that there are very good interior d- linemen at 16. Then I hope they focus on linebacker and d-end. After that, do straight best available

mid to late round guys I like that if they fall to us in right spot I would like

A.T. Perry - WR
Kuntz - TE
O'Connell - QB

Thanks, but no thanks.

Your top 2 I do like if they fall to that 6th round picks.

I am hoping for Christian Gonzalez from Oregon.

How upset would you be if Holmes drafted one of those DL at Bo.6 and then used No.18 and either pick No.55 or pick No.81 to move up into that 10-15 range to draft Gonzalez?

Making that trade up theoretically gives you two, on paper only, elite capable starters.

BTW, I'm all for more picks or not losing a pick, but this is a conundrum of sorts.

Furthermore, if Holmes can upgrade his Edge rushers, then he should do exactly that. Houston showed last year he can be a great pass rush specialist, but he's highly questionable when it comes to run defending. Tyree Wilson is the better run defender between he and Houston from a CFB prospect level. Anderson has had a high rate of missed tackles, but he's still better than Houston at the CFB level.

Illinois Pro Day is today. We'll read in a couple of days on how Witherspoon did.

I'm expecting to read a 4.47-4.52 forty for him if his hamstring is fully healthy.

Lions picks No.18 and No.81 moves Holmes up to No.13 - NYJ

Lions Picks No. and No.55 moves Holmes up to No. 11 - Tenn

Lions picks No.18 and No.48 moves Holmes up to No.10 - Philly

I'm not convinced any of these CB are worthy of also giving up a day 2 pick.

@Mebert an Overshown listing at LB.

I love that Darnell Wright is listed.

I don't want to see a TE drafted, by I do favor Kraft over any other.

Note: This should not be viewed as an exhaustive list. This is simply what has been reported/leaked to the media.

Reported Lions visits

QB Anthony Richardson, Florida (NFL Combine)
QB Aidan O’Connell, Purdue (Pro Day)
WR Quentin Johnston, Texas (NFL Combine)
WR Jayden Reed, Michigan State (NFL Combine)
WR Antoine Green, North Carolina (NFL Combine)
TE Sam LaPorta, Iowa (NFL Combine)
TE Tucker Kraft, South Dakota State (NFL Combine)
OT Darnell Wright, Tennessee (NFL Combine)
T/G Jordan McFadden, Clemson (NFL Combine)
G Antonio Mafi, UCLA (Top 30 visit)
LB Trenton Simpson, Clemson (NFL Combine)
