My professor was at VT when this happened. She shared with us her story from that week, the scrapbook she made as well as all kinds of newspaper articles and television clips. She also had posters and cards people sent her after the event. It was the saddest class i have been too.
God bless the families and friends of the shooting 6 years ago. And of so many other tragedies that have happened before and since. Prevail, with His help.
I remember watching this from home and the swelling of pride I had at the end with the "Let's Go Hokies!" chant. Some outsiders complained about what they deemed a football chant being done at such an event, but they do not know what it's like to be a part of Hokie Nation.
Wearing my annual "tradition" of remembrance orange shirt and maroon VT seal tie along with my lapel pin. Have been asked several times already why I'm decked out in Hokie colors and reminded them of seven years ago. Wish I would be able to make it to campus today, but will be up there for the spring game to walk the memorial.
