I respect Nebraska a lot but I have to say the way those National Championship trophies are displayed it looks like they're on a table set up for a jam exhibit at the county fair. And two of them are on the floor like it's a self storage unit? This plays into the psychology that nothing good has happened in Lincoln for a looooong time. Not good, Huskers. Change it.

That photo said copyright 2006. That would have been the Steve Pederson (AD), Bill Callahan (HC) era 2003-2007. Steve Pederson is a narcissist who wanted to create his OWN legacy at Nebraska. After he and Callahan were fired for ruining Nebraska football, a cleaning person found all of the All-American's portraits in a closet. They'd been taken down from the tunnel walls leading to the locker room. I kid you not. He was hiding them.
Pederson went back to Pitt where he got fired again after a couple years of destroying their athletic dept.

My point stands. There were far more Academic All-American's than felons. Phillips was suspended after the 2nd game.
Ahman Green (a true freshman) took over RB for LP and the Huskers didn't miss a beat.
