Now I don't mind this one as much as the other 3 star ones because this kid has some high upside compared to some of the other 3 star recruits we have landed. Sanders is the No. 40 wide receiver in the country and the No. 37 prospect in the state of California by 247Sports.

5-9 177LBs, Other Offers: Duke, Ohio State, Stanford, Tennessee, Vanderbilt. He is the son of former Ohio State and Tennessee Titans wide receiver Chris Sanders.

Strengths
• This is a big-time pickup for the Irish … Sanders has major speed … He’s a legit 4.4-4.5 player in the 40-yard dash … Not only is he fast, but he’s quick and elusive … He has that second gear that turns a short play into a big one … His change of direction is impressive and he has the wiggle to make people miss in the open field … He’s a tough, strong, physical player that prides himself on being a good blocker on the outside … Goes up and attacks the ball at its highest point … Notched a 37-inch vertical leap during Sparq testing.
Areas For Improvement
• He’s thin and will need to add weight, but he has a lot of natural strength … He plays physical and reckless, but will need to contain that in college to avoid an injury, due to his current stature … He’s a tweener, which have kept some schools from offering… Could be excellent in the slot, while some believe he’s better fit to play running back.

So Overall not a bad move. Speed is a need. Just wish we can see some Big time players commit. Some sites have him as a 4 star recruit.

Scout article says he chose Notre Dame over Duke, USC and Stanford so he has some good schools recruiting him. Rivals has him as a four star.

I like the kids upside. Overall good pick up. Kelly needs to bring the big dogs in now.

I agree they need to land some more elite talent but if those guys aren't ready to commit then what can you do.

I wonder if he knows how to fair catch a punt. If not, maybe one day he could remind us of Rocket. (not to put too much pressure on the kid).

Kid is a childhood movie star. Been in a quite a few flicks including Ray where he played the younger Ray Charles and Six Feet Under.

That can be a negative. Depends how you look at it.

ND has had a knack in recent years for landing players with famous parents and it's been working out well, I like it. 5'9 speedy receiver is exactly what we need to compliment our rocket armed QBs.
