About time. I guess it's what, 7 strikes and you're out at NC State?

5 brushes with the law and 2 team suspensions. So yep 7 must be it.

Ha, all is well. Picked up Wisconsin's freshman RB filling in for Clement.

Thornton was a helluva runner. The problem was he couldn't stay out of trouble. I think he was caught smoking dope like 3 or 4 times. But this moped incident where he just left the scene must have been the final straw. State has other running backs.

Which is why the moped incident was the final straw.

It is all UNC's fault and that damn John Swofford. It is a conspiracy against the Wolfpack!

Seems like 7 strikes is the standard down there in ACC country.

Yet another situation I can't wrap my head around.

Don't fuck up, play football, get free college and chance to play in the NFL. Seriously, what the fuck is wrong with these idiots??

When you've always gotten away with it, you're never going to stop doing what you've always done. These kids have been getting preferential treatment since middle school. They have no real reason to behave. Nobody is teaching them right from wrong.

It surprises me that the coaches haven't gotten through to him yet. 1,2 discretions, sure. 3-4, that's bad. 7?? WTF are those coaches doing with these kids?

They're taught that they shouldn't get in trouble but if they do they better be a good football player. Because then their only punishment is being told not to get caught again. They're taught they can do no wrong and that rules don't apply to them. He had all kinds of issues in the past and the same thing kept happening, he was warned.

If a parent threatens to punish you if you do something and you get caught doing it anyway and aren't punished, or are given a slap on the wrist what's stopping you from just repeating your actions? The parent isn't going to get through to the kid. And that's not the child's fault, it's the parents.

The weirdest part about this is that ever since UNC's academic scandal broke out State fans have began to think of themselves as the athletic program that has their morals straight. Its pretty funny since State's basketball program is historically one of the dirtiest in NCAA history.

Also, I highly doubt you get seven strikes at schools like GT, Wake, Duke, BC, UVA, etc.
