These are 2 teams that I think could actually win it. Tough matchup.

San Diego Rockets

Starters:

1) Tim "UTEP 2- Step" Hardaway Sr. - (PG)
2) Ray "Sugar Ray" Allen - (SG) - (but expect to see a lot of Robertson on Jordan)
3) Julius "Dr. J" Erving - (SF)
4) Willis "The Captain" Reed - (PF)
5) Shaquille "Shaq" O'Neal - (C)

Bench:

Maurice "Mo" Cheeks/ Kyrie Irving - (PG)
** (The Jordan Stopper) - Alvin "The Domestic Discipliner" Robertson - (SG)
Jerry Stackhouse - (SG)
Antawn "Cockroach" Jamison - (SF)
Robert "Big Shot Rob" Horry - (PF)
Walt "Bells" Bellamy - (C)

As will be the case with most of my match ups, my 4 and 5 spot will kill his. PG is a push. He will kill me at the 2 spot obviously, but that is the precise reason I drafted Alvin Robertson - the best defensive 2 guard ever to play the game.

Oh, and how much fun would it be to watch Dr. J and Durant go at it?

Shaq is the difference. Nate would have no shot in the post

Shaq lasted a LOT longer in the draft than I thought he would. But Thurmond was a great pick. I like this matchup when you take a long look at it.

I dont know if Id go that far.

Shaq had 100lbs on anyone that could potentially be guarding him. Thats kinda a big deal. Not that anyone is voting on Centers

Alvin was terrific. Dude had a quadruple double. Imo, the best defensive 2 guard ever. Averaged more steals per game than anyone ever has.

My thought was this: Nobody can "stop" Jordan, period. However, a guy like Alvin can at least slow him down. Also, it's not gonna be too easy for him to get to the rim with a guy like Alvin on him, and 2 guys like Shaq and Reed in the middle. If this all can happen, then he has to hope that Durant can beat me more than both Willis and Shaq can beat him. That is an "if" granted.

Yeah, when I was building my team, I made sure to get a strong defensive SG because of Jordan (and Magic considering his size) and an elite Center in case of the Kareem, Wilt, Shaq, Timmy matchups.

But Garnett played the high post, which pulls Reed out... And Shaq wasn't that great defensively... Your offense down low is your strength but it clogs the lane for DR. J who then has to shoot over 7 ft Durant DJ is a hell of a defender and Hardaway is going to run into a clogged middle as well... Ray Allen running around screens would be your biggest threat because I don't see Jordan running into Shaq and Reed too much, in fact I think they would probably switch DJ to Ray, which puts MJ on Tim, that's tough... I just see him hitting enough to stay close, and Jordan ending the game at the top of the key...:yahoo:

Its all kinda moot though because Charlotte is going to be forced to double Shaq so San Diego will dictate the matchups.
