Now that the CCGs are over, could the SEC actually get left out? Kinda hard to make a case for Bama to get in now w/that loss to Texas.

With the system in place, its pretty cut and dry that the top 4 are Wash, Mich, FSU, and Texas.

Bama vs Oregon actually would be a good bowl game imo.

If it's the 4 teams that would beat the rest, its Georgia, Alabama, Michigan and Texas. If you want to go by record, rankings or whatever, fine by me. But those are the 4 strongest teams

Florida St is not one of the Top 4 teams in the country without their starting QB and that has been proven the last 2 weeks

Ohio state and Penn State should be in discussion then. OSU might be the 2nd best team in the nation and their only loss is to #1. Penn state only has losses to the 1 and 2 team in the nation.

Obviously this isn't going to happen because conference Champs are going to get in, and I don't see how they can keep an undefeated fsu out in favor a one loss team. Especially with FSU coming into the week at #4 and playing a comparably ranked opponent that #7 Texas played.

Keep in mind that the committee seems to very seriously take into account its rankings from previous weeks. Michigan was 2 when it played #3 osu. That was the same week that Alabama was 1 and played a super sloppy game against Georgia tech. One would have thought Michigan would definitely be 1 after that but it didn't happen. Fsu did just that this week at 4. No way they should drop

The committee changing the process to favor the SEC would be on point for them. Should they have any integrity consistency matters. The 3 unbeaten power 5 Champs, and the 1 loss champ that has the head to head victory over the other.

1. Michigan
2. Washington
3. Florida State
4. Texas

Or, they can tell us a Power 5 Conference Championship doesn't matter and leave out FSU

Or, they can tell us that head to head doesn't matter and leave out Texas

And this is the reason why we need more than just 4 teams in a playoff.

First. Georgia did not play Alabama twice they did once and lost.

But Yes, the SEC is special flower. They are so elite that it is mandatory we change voting for them Because they can't get in on merit

The fact i, SEC is so super special that they should not have to bother with the season at all. The committee should just vote who is super special this year and place them in without the need for those pesky games.

Really won't matter going forward as we'll have 4 P4 conferences and 4 P4 Champs.

No need for a committee going forward, yet we will now have a 12 team playoff that will include teams with humbling blowout losses on their resume.
