Week 4 recap

And finally, it's time for "What we've learned this week!"

What I learned this week is...

1. The Big 10 (excluding sliding Michigan) still has some pride left.

2. The PAC-12 is ready to be in lock-step with the SEC this year.

3. Don't look now, but Old Dominion and Georgia Southern wants postseason play NOW!

4. The ACC Coastal division is jam-packed with good teams, and good luck picking out a winner from it.

5. Records for offense got broken in Alabama, East Carolina, Arizona, Texas A&M, and even Wisconsin. And it's only going to get worse.

6. Either Florida State is resilient as hell, or lucky as hell.
.
And finally, never before have we had a collection of great early games with teams that are worlds apart in the national rankings.

But hey, it's still early, so next week the rankings merry-go-round will continue to go slowly before October gives it more steam. Until that next week, I bid you adieu...

Alabama is probably glad now that Old Dominion turned them down for a chance to play in Tuscaloosa. The Tide might actually have had to practice for the Monarchs. Georgia Southern has had a very strong program, but their success so early in their FBS tenure is indeed worth noting and watching.
