I think its pretty dumb how the fans at the games keep throwing shit(like rally towels) on the ice after big moments in the game. I get there happy when we score a big goal or win the game but it feels like a very classless move to throw shit on the ice. I feel like it makes all Hawks fans look like asses when this happens. So to all these NEW Hawks "fans" either gain some class or stay the fuck home. Thank you to all who listened.

Its different but I don't think its classless at all. It doesn't bother me but if anything it might annoy some people.

I wouldn't say classless Q. It's not like (hopefully) it was directed at the Flyers. If it was, then...hell yeah, but I don't think it was. Maybe over zealous, but it's the finals and the home team won!

I can dig that. :)

I don't know Q, I've seen who picks that stuff up and they sure are cute. I wouldn't be surprised if that had something to do with it :p

It struck me that this could totally be a response to a "Alex Ovechkin is a dirty player" type thread from earlier this year.

But I agree, I think it's just exuberance, not a lack of class or motivated by hate.

Fair enough classless may be the wrong choice of words, but I still think its dumb as hell. I think the only appropriate times to throw stuff on the ice are for hat tricks and maybe series victories.

Ah, to extend that rumination, to have a board where such quibbling is done by the home fans and not started by a bunch of rival fans asshats just trying to stir up shit. :)

dont worry stache the Flyers Fans will make you feel better lol.. as many have mentioned every fan base does it. I cant blame them they are 2 wins away from making Toronto the longest standing original 6 team not to win a Stanley Cup (43 years and counting) which I think is bigger than actually winning it for Chicago lol.... at least your fans wont riot in your city...

well hopefully not....
