Everyone else seems to be doing it, so here goes:
Four conferences:
SEC:
B1G:
Current members plus ND, Texas, Kansas, Missouri
Pac 16:
Current members plus Oklahoma, Ok State, BYU, Boise St.
ACC:
Current members plus Pitt, WVU, UConn, USF
SEC:
Current members plus aTm, Texas Tech, TCU, UCF
All four conferences are divided into two divisions (basically mini-conferences)
Each team plays 12 games:
-their 7 division counterparts
-half of the other side of the conference on a rotating basis
-one slot open for ONE OOC rivalry game
Division Records determine the division winners, with conference record beign the first tie breaker, followed by others....
Conference Championship Games are (essentially) the first round of an 8 game playoff.
All teams with winning records are available for Bowl games, excluding the four conference winners.
The Final 4 teams (conference winners) enter the BCS Championship playoff series which is a three game playoff. The matchups rotate among the four super-conferences yearly (eg: one year B1G plays ACC, one year B1G plays Pac etc..). The winners of the two semifinal games play in a NCG.
Every team has a legit shot and no real way to bitch.
-win your division, you advance
-you play everyone in your division and it is in your hands to win
The MAXIMUM amount of games a team will play is 15, one more than now and that will only be for the final two teams.
Thoughts???
The conferences may line up differently, but the playoff style is what i really like about it.
