Oregon won't even make the tourney this year. I would replace them with Utah, who will be very tough this year. Other than that, it looks fine as a whole.

Decent list and nice to see my Tar Heels as a possible #1 seed.

My preseason rankings have Utah at 22 but when I did my composite records for them they map out at a 9 seed. Im iffy on Oregon but I have them at 21-10 on the year and that puts them as the last 8 seed.

I also think SDSU will end up closer to a 5 or 6 seed.

rmilla, I have to echo the posts about Oregon, and especially Utah. Oregon is a sinking ship. Utah might very well be giving UCLA a run for their money for 2nd in the Pac. I'd also give some real consideration to UCLA being ahead of like a Clemson, or some of the other 8 seeds.

Michigan lost a lot with this last class leaving, they may take a huge fall.

There are bunch of teams on there that have lost a bunch of starters. We'll see how it all shakes out.

They might very well be, but they have a good class, and Alford might be able to coach them. Pac's not going to be very strong this year compared to last, so they might be able to load up on the conference scraps and a decent non-con stretch.

I do not believe Clemson to be a 8-seed/sweet sixteen team. They lost K.J. McDaniels at PG and he will be very difficult to replace. He was their team last season. NC State(Lost TJ Warren but Cat Barber is returning PG) or Florida State(Aaron Thomas is back) maybe. Wake Forest will be better than expected as they return their two top scorers in Codi Miller-McIntyre and Devin Thomas and Danny Manning is coaching them now. Bzdelik will not be missed in Winston-Salem.

Who sustains injuries better? Who has better recruits coming in who can help immediately? Who has talent from last season? Here is how the ACC stacks up IMHO:

1)Duke
2)Louisville
3)North Carolina
4)Virginia
5)Syracuse
6)Pitt
7)Florida State
8)NC State
9)Wake Forest
10)Miami
11)Notre Dame
12)Clemson
13)Boston College
14)Georgia Tech
15)Virginia Tech

Duke has much to prove to me and themselves, but all the pieces are there. They are very talented on paper and have some size and a stud in Okafor. Lousiville will be loaded and possibly the best player in the country in Harrell. uNC has issues off the court but a superb PG and size in the front court. Virginia has a program on the upswing with a solid returning squad with Brogdon who was an absolute beast last season. Syracuse lost a bunch and has issues and their top three players from last season are gone, but they are still talented returning Kaleb Joseph and an incoming instant impact player in Chris McCullough, plus a HOF coach. Pitt has size and Cameron Wright is back and watch out for a 6'9" freshman named Ryan Luther and a 6'7" Freshman guard in Cameron Johnson.

But it all depends on attrition and who gels together. To pick these I just threw darts at a dart board if you must know.

Switch Duke and Texas with UNC and Arizona.

Duke has an insane amount of talent, and Texas is returning a lot.

UNC has been so inconsistent in recent years, I have trouble predicting them to even be a 3 or 4 seed.
