One of my favorite mid-major tournaments get going today. Arch Madness is great every single year. Illinois State/WSU rubber match would be pretty incredible. But this tournament always produces an upset or two.

Heres to hoping WSU goes down early. I kinda doubt it though. I don't think anyone is going to stop an ISU/WSU rematch. Last year ISU upset WSU in the tourney, maybe WSU returns the favor this year.

The Aces missed 17 free throws last night, adding still more evidence that the Valley comes in 3 layers.
If I had to put a buck on it, I'd take the Shockers. SIU could finish 2nd in this thing.

I really can't see any way it's not ISU and Wichita in the title game. I suppose you can never count UNI out but even that would surprise me

It comes down to isu vs wsu. At full strength ISU beat WSU. When ISU was missing their best scorer and the bench was performing below average, WSU clobbered ISU. ISU is now at full strength, and other players outside their big three are stepping up. If Evans and Wills can keep hitting shots like they have, WSU is going to have a lot of trouble winning the final. However, ISU has been in this position countless times in the last few years and lost, so it feels like they will drop this one.

These referees have made it all but impossible for ISU to win this game. They were not the best team today, but when the referees suck this bad against you, you'll never win.
