Not sure why I bother but nothing makes sense on this team. Lloyd is obsessed with match ups and previous years stats and plays Jackson who is 2-30 off Sale. Shockingly Jackson has struck out both times.
Meanwhile Miller has sat 5 of the last 6 games because it's been decided he can't play against lefties.
I just wish they would have fucking dealt Jackson because every AB he takes from Miller or Marte is a waste.

what are the rules about the protected draft pick. I assume you are talking about the pick we loose when we signed Cruz, but please explain how we keep it protected and what that means. Thanks

The top 10 picks or the 10 worst records are "protected" and can't be lost even when signing a type A free agent. They had that in 2013 which is why they were able to sign Cano and keep their pick at #6 and draft Alex Jackson. They didn't have it 2014 because of their decent year so they forfeited the pick when Cruz was signed.

With the way this organization is currently they need a type A free agent and the top 10 pick. I'm not saying I'm rooting for them tank but it is what it is
