It's funny because the Mariners bats have suddenly come alive and the pitching is now shitting the bed.

Yeah, the bats have been on fire but our pitching has been awful for about a month now...

Ms can't catch a break. Lose out the season IMO, get as high draft pick as possible.... and pray Cruz mashes next year, add a bat and some relief pitching, and Cano doesn't have his stomach bug.

I do feel like the Ms had a bit of an injury bug this year, especially in the pitching dept.

Still good for 300+ OBP and likely 20 homers a year. Average and RBI #s are down (RBIs which mean jack crap anyway) but BB to SO ratio is favorable a bit, gotta admire that. There's FAR bigger problems than Seager.

Not necessarily true when he is paid $100M to lead. Currently .168 with RISP. That becomes a big problem.
Can't argue with numbers like that.

I knew he has struggled this year, but that number is scary. Add to the fact his home numbers are way down and it becomes a bit scary.

I am not saying he is not a good player or that he doesn't deserve his contract.

My point is that he is having a bad year to his standards which he is. I'm not talking about just his average or RBIs. I'm talking about what I observe from his approach at the plate. Also he hasn't been as good in the field either. He supposed to be one of the key guys and instead he has been just a guy this year.

I expect him to bounce back next year but nevertheless it's been a disappointing year.

I'm not concerned with Seager really.

His BA is .006 points below his career average and he is on pace for 23 HRs, which would be the 2nd most of his career. In addition, he's on pace for the lowest strikeout total since he became a starter.

His BA with RISP is a problem this year, but it hasn't been historically.

Seager is not having the year he had last year, but he's not too far off. It's not like the insane slump that Cano went through. The only thing that concerns me is his RISP BA and a slight regression defensively. He's still a good defensive player and I don't see why his BA with RISP won't go back to career norms in the future.

Homers as you know are overrated and have little value. RBI's and hitting with RISP are the marks of a true run producer which they paid him a lot to be. I think I am more worried about him than any other player on the team.

Regarding the bold part, you may be right but I remember a guy named Allen Craig who never recovered to be a hitter with RISP. Not all recover is my point.
