Wtf happened? Why did anyone actually think that?

I remember I totally bought into his kool aid the first few seasons. I even defended him at times. We were lead to believe that this guy was the reason for those good Brewer hitters. And everyone kept telling us he had a great eye for young talent which was supposed to fit perfectly with what the Mariners needed.

At first his excuse was he didn't have the money so he had to go bargain shopping. Which I will admit I think is partially true. Then his eye for young talent has clearly been a huge load of bullshit. He has traded for busts and drafted busts time and time again. He continues to put players in positions to fail. For instance Mike Zunino had a ton of talent both behind the plate and hitting, now he probably doesn't deserve to be on a major league roster because he can't hit for a better avg. than some pitchers. It is disgusting that this Jack Z turd still has a job. There are people on this board I would trust more to build a competitive roster than this guy. Shit, NWAZ's wife has shown more knowledge than this guy.

The opportunity to make this team good was there but it is quickly fading and soon the highest paid players on the team will be the oldest players on the team and their skills will diminish and the team will have the same issues the Phillies have right now.
