This is why the Yankees patting themselves on the back for having the same payroll as they did 10 years ago is just a huge crock of bullshit.

Not real surprising. Those are most of the biggest television markets. St. Louis is the outlier but I guess they proved if you are consistent you can develop a big following even in a smaller market. They have managed to make sure most fans get to see a world championship by the time they are 40.

St Louis also owns that market with no more football there, no NBA either (NHL big whoop)

Orlando, Sacramento, Portland are all bigger than Charlotte. Montreal is making a push too.
Florida doesn't even support the 2 teams it has now, no way Orlando needs one. Sacto is basically Oakland East, no chance. Montreal tried that they don't like baseball. Portland and Charlotte are both legit

Valid points - maybe Vegas or Nashville found this on the web.

Relocation... Expansion... blah... blah...

This discussion of sharing a team opens up a whole can of opportunities... Could one team be able to support two stadiums?

Could we have one Florida team split games between St Pete and Miami?

Could the Blue Jays play half their games in Montreal? Or 20 games?

Could Baltimore or Pittsburgh play some games in Charlotte? Or both?

Could Cincinnati play in Louisville?

Could the A's play in Las Vegas?

White Sox in Indianapolis?

The Expos used to play some of their home games in San Juan, Puerto Rico. I remember a Javy Lopez 3 home run game there for his homecoming
