I watched NFL Network's Top-10 the other day.

(10)Derrick Thomas' 7 sacks in one game.
(9)Otto Graham's 10 title games in 10-year career (7-3).
(8)The Dolphins' 1972 perfect season.
(7)Tom Landry coaches the Cowboys for 29 years.
(6)49ers win 18 straight road games.
(5)Don Hutson leads NFL in TD's 8 times.
(4)Bucs lose 26 straight.
(3)Brett Favre's ironman streak (321 games).
(2)Drew Brees' 54-game TD streak.
(1)Don Shula wins 347 games (1963-95).

Some records I don't think will be broken any time soon...
-Emmitt Smith's 18,355 career rushing yards. Frank Gore with 13,065 is the closest active player. Adrian Peterson at 11,747 is next.
-Bill Belichick/Tom Brady win 5 rings.
-Jerry Rice's 22,895 receiving yards, 1,549 receptions, and 208 total TD's.
-Bruce Smith's 200 career sacks.

Disagree with the Brees record. 2 players in the same era got within 3 of that. It almost was broken less than a year after he set it.

the dolphins was only a 14 game schedule. they only had to play 17 games.

id have gone with 16-0, because its current (in terms of games played) and we may never see 16-0 again.

in grahams time, there were 12 teams. there are now 20 more.

in hutsons time, there were 10 teams. one was in brooklyn and the cardinals were in chicago.

a few more that were overlooked:

marvin harrisons 143 catches
george blandas 26 seasons
jim hardy once picked off 8 passes in one game (granted it was a long time ago)
paul krause has 81 career picks. no one will pass that.
flipper anderson had 336 yards in one game

20 consecutive winning seasons
Dallas Cowboys - Tom Landry
1966 through 1985
Pats are 4 away from tying it. 2 away from the 49ers record of 16 consecutive 10+win seasons.

Eric Dickerson's 2,105 yards rushing in 1984 will be tough to beat. Adrian Peterson came close a few years back, but didn't quite get there.

no bonus points for being close
Dallas's first 11 seasons was when they played 14 games
and.....Dallas didn't play in a cream puff division
20 is 20

How come it's the Lombardi Trophy and not the Landry Trophy?

Not looking for points chief. 14-game regular season and a 16 game regular season is irrelevant in regards to the winning percentage.

And no bonus points for your division.

1978 Patriots Team Rushing Record - 3,165 yards, eleven 200+ yard games and all without a 1,000 yard rusher.

With advent of pass friendly rules, doubtful this record ever gets broken.

LOL....but the Pats have 16...which still isn't 20
and the point about 10 plus wins has everything to do with 2 extra games
but....you go ahead chief

I have no issue with the name on the trophy.
Perhaps if Starr hadn't scored and Reeves wasn't knocked silly the year before, history woulda been different.:suds:

Because nobody could beat the Packers in the playoffs minus the 1960 NFL Championship. Vince Lombardi = 9-1 in the postseason.
