The trasfer period ended friday with a lot of moves of over $10 million.

I think this is an interesting Top:

Lucas Moura - $58M (Sao Paulo -> PSG)
Willian - $47M (Shakhtar -> Anzh)
Taison - $27M (Metalist -> Sahtior)
Mario Balotelli - $27M (Man.City -> Milan)
Christopher Samba - $21.7M (Anzhi -> QPR)
Alexandre Pato - $20M (Milan -> Corinthians)
Daniel Sturridge - $19M (Chelsea -> Liverpool)
Nacho Monreal - $17M (Malaga -> Arsenal)
Yann M'Vila - $17M (Rennes -> Rubin Kazan)
Mateo Kovacici - $15M (Dinamo Zagreb -> Inter)
Loic Remy - $14.2M (Marseille - QPR)
Wesley Sneijder - $13.5M (Inter -> Galatasaray)
Philippe Coutinho - $13.5M (Inter -> Liverpool)
Giuseppe Rossi - $13.5M (Villarreal -> Fiorentina)

Lucas was actually sold last summer, but the transfer went through this winter.

I'm surprised to see QPR with two expensive buy in this top:rollseyes:

Taison went to Shakhtar, not "Sahtior", maybe that's a misspelling.

But man did they have to overpay for that guy! Maybe I'm ignorant, Shakhtar is very smart and probably knows what its doing....and probably has to overpay for its players. But sheesh, as much as Balotelli? I can think of all kinds of great players that have gone for way less, even considering the inflated price to come to Ukraine, he'd better be good.

I never understand that. Its like saying some canadian football player should stay in the CFL rather than go to the NFL out of patriotism.

If someone can play for the US or Italy - actually play for Italy, not just be on the fringes - its not even a choice at all. Italy is 10x better and more prestigious, plays way more meaningful games, and has a chance in the biggest tournaments.

I agree with that once again Space.

The only loyalty here is to the dollar. Not to mention, The best players don't play here, they play in Europe, that is a known fact. I'm not sure if the post before referred to Rossi playing is in reference to Rossi playing for the USMIT, but if I had a choice playing for either Spain or the U.S., is it really that obvious?

M'Vila going to Rubin Kazan ey? He was a preferred target of Arsenal and some other EPL teams last summer.
