1920 works for me. Has anyone PMd the guys who tried to vote even though they weren't playing? Maybe they'd like in

I'm guessing this post was mainly directed at me :lol:The answer is not yet.

NOS - can you modify the first post? Maybe add the years like I did above - but put the correct years...

Then clarify that their debut year is the year they get - so each player is only eligible for one decade?

I think the years as they are listed is exactly how you had it.

I will add the other ule in a minute here...

I have PM'd

Bums
Molsan
Jeffro
Stoke
Tnerb

Tnerb is the person who voted in the other draft...

Always glad to see Jeffro and Stoke, and would love to see Bums. It's a challenge, that dude knows some hardball. Be nice to add a couple of newbies too

And... thinking ahead.... I'm sure you already decided in other drafts.......

We should clarify how each position is eligible as some could play more than one... As a bad example, Arod can be a SS or 3B...

Is there a minimum amount they need at one position to qualify?

I think if pro reference lists 3B/SS he can play either. However if only SS is listed then that's the only position he can eligible for.

Question... Should we stop and play with 8?

I don't like playing 3 team finals... This way we could have a 3rd place game as well and no 2nd chance teams or any of that.

I guess we should just think of a number to be used to determine what position players are eligible for.

How about 100 games started?

I don't agree with your faith in Baseball Reference in this aspect at all. IMO they're rather arbitrary in their position listings.

I think it should be over 250.

If not 324. Two years of games seems better to me.

I'd accept the guys invited. If they decline, that's it

I think it should be more. I was thinking a few seasons... If we use games - can it be 400?

I don't like when someone sneaks an OF into 1B, just because he played his last season there...

I agree but I thought i'd start low. If it were up to be it would be 324

EDIT... I did not even realize I was agreeing with your number when I said 324...

I think it's still a little low to start a guy at a position. But not to consider that position as somewhere a guy could move to or come in a game and play there.

Id just like to avoid seeing guys started at positions that weren't their primary position for atleast several years.

That's why Id like to stay away from BR's listings. I've seen plenty of players listed at positions they started/played less than positions which aren't listed.

Who cares if I start Ripken at catcher. It would be my fault if I lose.
