I didn't say I quit but I did cry because my period cramps hurt. Whats our next draft? I wont be as active and wont be able to send out every 5min PM's off OTC notices because of the new job but I will try to update threads and send in my lists during lunch period.

It's not career but this years stats and performance. If they got hurt then yes in a way you sort of judge them on last years performance. It's not prime years but this years. Was my understanding.

Full body of work, with extra weight to the past couple years, Scherzer is better than Lester. Kluber was effectively a rookie last year and pitched fine. This year, he's made some adjustments and showed that, true talent, he's a better pitcher than Iwakuma. Zimmermann and Samardzija have been pitching about the same length of time, and Zimmermann has been more effective by and large over that span, mostly because he's better at limiting walks and home runs. Shields is better than Kazmir over their careers, but a lot of that has to do with Kazmir having a few-year rough patch. The past two seasons, he's appeared to have overcome those issues, though, likely making mechanical adjustments. Roark is definitely the better pitcher over Tillman, though. Neither does anything especially well, but Roark does everything a little better.

I think THREE's defense is a good deal better, especially in the outfield. Very good defensively in the corners, and SEVEN's centerfielder is a poor defensive right fielder, so it would logically follow, he'd be an especially poor defensive center fielder. On the infield, the left side of THREE's infield is clearly better, while the right side of SEVEN's is. Overall, a slight infield defense nod to THREE, since the left side requires more range and stronger arms. THREE also has considerably more defensive flexibility, thanks in large part to having two starters who can each play pretty much anywhere on the field in Zobrist and Harrison, and play it well.

Lineups, I think SEVEN has the more elite talent, but THREE's lineup is much deeper, especially in terms of on-base skill. There is not a single poor on-base guy in THREE's lineup, the worst being Donaldson at a .341 OBP. The middle of SEVEN's order is elite in on-base skill, but the rest are either in line with THREE's or actually kind of poor in the case of Gonzalez. Due to depth and the corresponding increased likelihood of favorable sequencing to run scoring, I'd give the edge to THREE's lineup, though slight.

Rotations were covered above.

True talent, THREE's bullpen is better. However, seven's has more flexibility, including a much better long reliever. Depending on what you value, either would be a reasonable vote. I'll call it a wash overall.

THREE's bench is better defensively (catchers notwithstanding), but SEVEN's is better offensively (again, catchers notwithstanding). Again, it depends what you value out of your bench, and this is also largely a wash.

Overall, a marginally better starting rotation and lineup for THREE push me toward THREE. This is a close one, though.
