I've never seen Kobe top 5 on any all-time list and honestly rarely top 10. Usually in the 9-13 range or so.

My top 10

1. MJ
2. Lebron
3. Kareem
4. Magic
5. Bird
6. Wilt
7. Hakeem
8. Duncan
9. Shaq
10. Oscar or Kobe

A lot of close calls.

5 and 6 could be swapped.
7, 8 or 9 could be swapped and wouldn't have an issue tbh, it's that close.

Yup. That's what I think, too. LeBron moved ahead of Kobe long ago. LeBron gets discussed and compared with MJ. Kobe is not in the GOAT conversation.

I had at least a dozen MJ pictures/posters on my bedroom wall as a kid, including a life size one. I was so upset (age 15) when MJ retired in ‘93 that my parents let me take a sick day from school the following day.

But yeah, let’s go with me being an irrational LeBron fanboy.
