Braden Bishop hitting streak update: 15G, .413/.486/.556/1.042, 26H, 6 2B, 1HR, 23R, 8RBI, 8BB, 6K, 6SB.
He is really having a nice start to this season. He really hasn't had an overly impressive offensive season yet so its good to see him off to a hot start because most of his value has always been his defense and speed. If he can work a good bat into his skill set he could hit the fast track to the majors, but lets see if he keeps it up and if he hits at AA.

Joe Rizzo in his 1st 2 games in the Midwest League: 5-8, 2B, 2RBI, BB. #LumberKings
Rizzo is an interesting prospect. He can hit, when the M's drafted him I watched a few videos of him hitting, you can tell he is young but he also has a great swing. His bat will carry him through the minors, hard to say where he ends up defensively has some work to do if he stays at third. Very curious to see how he does this season against a little more refined talent pool.

The Mariners have acquired minor-league third baseman Seth Mejias-Brean from the Reds, per an announcement from Triple-A Louisville (via Twitter). It’s not yet known what Cincinnati will receive in return. Mejias-Brean is a 26-year-old who was taken in the eighth round of the 2012 draft out of the University of Arizona. At times, he has been considered one of the organization’s better prospects. But his star has faded in recent years as the early promise has not translated to the upper minors. Over 546 total plate appearances at Triple-A since the start of 2016, Mejias-Brean has slashed just .232/.293/.310 with six home runs.

Kinda reminds me of DJ Peterson a little bit. Early in the minors showed lots of promise but has had trouble putting it all together at the higher levels.
