Michigan and Notre Dame to continue series in 2018

Michigan will buy out of their game vs. Arkansas and start playing Notre Dame again in 2018. This is good for college football in general.

Not sure how I was able to post a Michigan related story first, though...are the Michigan fans okay?

So it ended up being in the end a 3 year gap between playing. I could have sworn ND was afraid to play Michigan.

That's what I was wondering. But it's possible ND didn't have another open spot and Arkansas couldn't move to the second week. ND is a much better opponent so I'm glad about that.

We had two games to schedule for 2018. If we're going to drop a game it's going to be against Ball State. I guess we could conceivably back out of the NW game, but that's a return game of a home and home series I believe(so very unlikely since we already played them at home). The rest of the games are ACC and Stanford/USC/Navy.

Notre Dame will play Michigan in South Bend in 2018 on September 1st - first week of season.
Return game in Michigan for 2019. Date TBA

Michigan agreed to pay Arkansas a 2 million dollar cancelation fee. Arkansas is upset with the timing of the release.

Michigan fans don't seem to thrilled about it being an away game for 2018. Same year MSU and OSU are away. As well as having too pay 2 million bucks(not that its a big deal)
