Call it nit picky I dont like the word " town" for Miami. Miami is a city -- not a " town" far from it. But, yes, for the moment we are back to being a basketball city -- Hockey would be right behind it if the Panthers hadn't gone to Sunrise. They are playing well right now

And to think some big dummies were talking about the Heat missing the playoffs and the lottery.

Think it is time for someone to stop questioning why Wade has the ball in his hands late in games

How good has Wade been in the clutch? Using the NBA’s definition (final five minutes of games with a margin of five points or fewer), Wade entered tonight with 77 clutch points (13th best in the league). More impressively, he entering shooting 49.1 percent in the clutch (28 for 57).

Of the 16 players who have attempted at least 50 clutch shots (again, using the NBA’s aforementioned definition), only Dirk Nowitzki (49.2 percent) and Deron Williams (50 percent) have shot as well as Wade in the clutch.

By comparison, LeBron James is shooting 46.8 percent in the clutch, James Harden 36.3.

When Wade plays, the Heat is 14-9 in games featuring “clutch minutes” and the Heat has outscored opponents by 50 points during those clutch minutes when Wade is on the floor.

He's been on a roll of late -- and simply gotten away with some things in the process -- which is what happens when things are going well for you and your team - but thats not to say he has made some questionable decisions in the process late in games - and for that, I will always question why he has the ball in his hands in those situations especially when I feel such is a questionable decision at a given time.

ASK IRA: Will Spoelstra have to whittle down his rotation?

Amar'e Stoudemire should stay in the rotation. He offers smart, effective minutes. -- Stephen.

A: And it will be curious, when everyone is back, because I can't see Erik Spoelstra, or most any coach, regularly going more than 10 deep. So if you work off the primary starting lineup of Hassan Whiteside, Luol Deng, Chris Bosh, Dwyane Wade and Goran Dragic, locked into the next wave of reserves is Justise Winslow. Beyond that you still have Gerald Green, Tyler Johnson, Beno Udrih, Josh McRoberts and Amar'e Stoudemire. So that's basically six set rotation players, and then five more to choose from. You could wind up seeing DNP-CD games along the way from Udrih, Stoudemire and even Johnson, just to make the pieces fit. If everyone is healthy, it likely will leave Udonis Haslem and Chris Andersen as spectators, and Jarnell Stokes and Josh Richardson possibly back in the D-League for additional seasoning.

I like the back-end part of Ira's answer - the best thing to do is send down Jarnell and Josh down to the D-league. Put TJ and Andersen on the inactive list and you are good to go. Based on recent play, I believe the rest of the guys should be regularly apart of the rotation.
